How to play

Petiketi has no manual inside it on purpose — you talk to your pet and it understands. This page is here for when you want to know everything it can do.

Adopting a companion

  • Pick a starter and it is yours straight away — no payment, no account juggling.
  • Signature companions are bought once with coins you earn by playing.
  • Premium companions come with a subscription, along with room for more pets at a time.
  • Tap the ⓘ on any companion to see exactly what it is like to live with before you choose.

Talking to your pet

  • Just type. There are no commands to learn — say it the way you would say it to a person.
  • Your pet remembers what matters and brings it up later. The more you talk, the better it knows you.
  • Talking costs your pet energy. When it runs low it needs a nap, and it comes back rested.
  • A subscription makes each message cost less energy, so conversations run longer between naps.

Reminders

  • “Remind me to call the dentist on Thursday at three.” That is all it takes.
  • Ask it to move one or cancel one the same way.
  • Ask what you have on and it will tell you.
  • Turn on notifications and it will nudge you when something is due.

Goals and habits

  • “Start a goal called Reading” — and add steps under it if it has parts.
  • Say you have done it and it is ticked off for the day.
  • Ask how the week went and your pet will tell you honestly.
  • Stop keeping one whenever you like; nothing guilt-trips you about it.

Money

  • “I spent 40 on lunch” logs it, to the right category, without a form.
  • Income and transfers between your own accounts are never counted as spending.
  • Set a budget for the week or month and see what is safe to spend each day.
  • Bills that come round — rent, subscriptions — are kept for you and counted against the month. That part is Premium.

Your own health

  • Set your height, weight and age, and say whether you want to lose, gain or hold steady.
  • Log meals by telling your pet what you ate — it works out the calories and macros.
  • Your weight is charted over time, so progress is something you can see rather than guess.
  • Paces that would be unsafe are eased automatically, and it says why.

Looking after your pet

  • Feed it, play with it, and give it a wash when one is due.
  • Vaccinations fall due over time. Let them pile up and your pet's health drifts down.
  • An unwell pet needs medicine from the shop, and a trip to the vet puts it right.
  • Everything it needs is on the health page — jabs, grooming and the shop in one place.

Games and coins

  • Little games pay coins, and coins buy companions, outfits, rooms and medicine.
  • Playing makes your pet happier, which is most of the point of it.
